Who We Are

‘A Naturally Eco Company’ is a start-up based in the United Kingdom with its roots in Coimbatore, South India. We aim to support the planet by promoting natural, eco-friendly and sustainable products. Our motto is to empower, train, and make the local artisan self-sufficient. From supplying machinery to artisans, and buying back the products they create, we ensure they get the fair share they rightly deserve. By using these products, you are not only supporting an eco-friendly cause but also generating employment for thousands of people in rural areas of South India.

Made with Care

Hand picked and hand crafted from the start and all the way through to finish.

The Areca Genus

Areca is a genus of about 50 species of Palms that grow in tropical climate across Southeast Asia but predominantly in India. It is mainly grown for its nut, commonly known as the Areca or Betel nut. For hundreds of years, a tiny proportion of Areca leaves/sheaths have been used as a substitute to dinnerware, and the rest was considered as agro-waste. With modernisation, heightened awareness for eco-friendliness and sustainability, the sheaths have been given a stylish transformation while maintaining its bio-degradable and chemical-free nature.

The Technique

Hand picked at source and handcrafted all the way through to finish. The manufacturing process is simple. The naturally fallen leaves are collected at the plantations and transported to the factory. They are dried, soaked, and cleaned in water and then fumigated in a die-cast to get the desired shape. Finally, sterilized under UV and packaged in recycled plastic. The waste resulting from the manufacturing process is used as a part of vermicompost.

Empower & Ensure

Through lectures, workshops, and training programs our mission is to give our artisans the tools, increase awareness, insights, and resources to transform our ideas and their initiatives into success. Through socially responsible advocacy, we educate them and strive together for a healthier, cleaner, and more sustainable planet.
